Chogadia Table

Overview

When you first start the Jain Calendar it will present you with the following view.

This view shows a calendar view similar to the standard iphone calendar view.  The current month is shown with the list of days in a grid layout.  The english month is displayed along with the Jain month and year within the header. You can navigate to the previous and next months by either pressing the left or right arrow.  

Certain days are highlighted to indicate whether the date is a Sud or Vad date.  Also notice that each date also indicates the Sud or Vad sequence number.  If a date has detail information a circle is displayed next to the date number.   Days that are marked with a ciricle in the top right corner indicates that there is detail information for that day.  Additional information will be shown when you select these days.

Day

Selecting a Date

You can tap on a date within the calendar view to see more information on that day.  When you select a day the date, sunrise and sunset times are displayed.  In order to see the sunrise and sunset times you will need to go to the settings page to set your location.  Note that depending on where you are located the sunset and sunrise times will change.  To change your location go the the settings page by pressing the "Settings" button Settings Button


Go to a Date

In order to go to a particular date press the "Go To" button  Goto Button located at the bottom of the screen.  This will bring up a date picker that will allow you to enter the day, month and year of the date that you want to jump to.

When you are done click the "Go!" button Go Button.  The calendar will jump to that month and highlight the date that you selected.

Go to Today

If you want to go to the today date press the "Today" button Today Button located at the bottom of the screen.  The calendar will jump and highlight the today date.

Changing your Location

On the setting view you can change location.  Initially the location is not set.  Note: you need to set the location so that the sunrise and sunset times will be displayed in the calendar.   You only need to do this once.  If you move to another city you may want to change the location again.

To change your location select the "City:" and "Location:" cell.  This will bring you to a view that lets you select your country.  Next this will bring you to a view that lets you select your city. 

Changing Date Highlight Colors

You can change the default highlight colors of the calendary.  Currently you can change the the Vad, Sud, Selection, Today and Detail indicator colors.  You can change both the foreground and background colors.  In the "Settings" view select the color that you want to change under the "Colors" section.  The following view will be shown.

Next select whether you want to change the Foreground or Background color.  Finally, select one of the fifteen colors to change either the background or the foreground color.  When you are satisfied with you changes click on the "Save" button Save Button.

Viewing the  Chogadia Table

To view the Din Ka and Raat Ka Chogadia table press the "Chogadia" button Chogadia Button located at the bottom of the screen.  This will show the following Din Ka Chogadia table.

To view the Raat Ka Chogadia table click the RaatKa button located in the top right corner.  If you want to go back to the calendar view click the Back button.
